CamVac - Campylobacter vaccination of Poultry

 

CamVac is funded by the Danish Council of Strategic Research (Det Strategiske Forskningsråd).

 

The aim of the project is to develop a cost-effective vaccine strategy, based on three current candidate vaccines and delivery systems.

 

One work package is devoted to each of the three vaccine candidates from Denmark, Netherlands and USA

A fourth work package deals with economics, statistics, risk assessment and bioethics.

Deadline for submission of our Midterm report covering the first 2 years of CamVac is April 1, 2012.

 

Alexandra Armstrong has defended her PhD thesis entitled: Salmonella in an oyster production and small feedlot environment, use of novel proteins expressed by an attenuated Salmonella vector for the reduction of Campylobacter colonization in broiler chickens (see link to PDF under Publications).

 

Anders Madsen and co-workers has submitted a manuscript to International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.

 

Peter Heegaard has recently had a lot of press release concerning his passive immunization trial (see under Press).
